New Release: Mr. Anonymous - Level With Me Up

ARTIST: Mr. Anonymous
RELEASE: Level With Me Up
TRACKLISTING:
1. Level With Me Up

As we've previously announced, all of Mr. Anonymous' music is available for free at the official Mr. Anonymous
website.

Original drummer for The Samples, Jeep Macnichol, (a.k.a. Mr. Anonymous) is ready to drop yet another fresh single called “Level With Me Up”. This track features a masterful dialogue of machine-gunfire talk-boxing, soaring autotune falsettos, crushing live drum dancehall beat, and orchestral string psychedelia. With the addition of the Korg mini-moog and talk-box to his arsenal of instruments alongside crushing tribal timpani riffs, Mr. Anonymous journeys further into the melodic stratosphere with this toe-tapping wall of sound.

Wednesday Nightcap Re-cap & Video by Steve Conry

Black Bridge Kicks Off the Communikey Festival of Electronic Arts at Bombay Bistro (2010) from cinesthetics on Vimeo.

Our friend Steve Conry of Cinesthetics made this super dope video capturing the essence of our Wednesday Nightcap party before the Communikey Festival in Boulder, Colorado, in April.  We LOVE it - and hope you do too! The featured song is an upcoming Black Bridge release by the talented artist known as Maasa (aka Matthew Bandy).

Guest DJs Roy England (Make Mistakes) and Ejival (Static Discos, Mexico) both tore it out! Check out Roy's set here.

iVictrola iPhone Phonograph

Love this. Combining cutting edge technology of the early 20th century and the 21st century comes the iVictrola.  To use the iVictrola, simply place the iPhone in the dock of the walnut base  and turn on your favorite tunes. The sound is carried from a hole in the base and is amplified by the metal Magnavox horn to fill the room with your tunes.  Each vintage horn will be different from the next so you will have to allow a lead time of 6-8 weeks when ordered. Found here.

Color A Sound

Color a Sound from blair neal on Vimeo. Blair Neal took an old overhead projector and built a musical instrument that turns color into sound. We found this via Mean Red's blog.
